I had the pleasure of meeting and working with the Bennett Family a few weeks ago to capture their Christmas portraits this year. Little did I know that Ms. Gianna had just turned one year old as well! This made the session extra special, as we were not only celebrating the holiday season but also Gianna's first birthday. Despite the chilly weather, it was a wonderful portrait session filled with warmth and joy.

A Warm Welcome to Albuquerque

Desy, Walter, Jordan, and Gianna are new to the Albuquerque area, and they were excited to explore a more urban location for their portraits this year. Having used the Rio Grande Bosque for their photos last year, they wanted a change of scenery to reflect their new surroundings. The first location that came to mind was the charming plaza at Old Town. It's always one of my favorite spots, especially during Christmas time when it's adorned with festive decorations and twinkling lights.

The Magic of Old Town Plaza

Old Town Plaza is a magical place, especially during the holiday season. The historic buildings, vibrant decorations, and cheerful atmosphere create a perfect backdrop for family portraits. The Bennett family fit right into this picturesque setting, and we were able to capture some truly beautiful moments. From the cobblestone streets to the quaint shops and festive lights, every corner of Old Town added a touch of charm to the photos.

Braving the Cold

Despite the cold weather (it was really cold!), the Bennett family embraced the session with enthusiasm and warmth. Little Gianna was bundled up and full of smiles, and Jordan’s playful spirit added a lively touch to the photos. Desy and Walter’s love and joy were evident in every shot, making it a delight to capture their family’s connection and happiness.

Celebrating Gianna’s First Birthday

One of the highlights of the session was celebrating Gianna’s first birthday. Capturing her sweet expressions and curious nature was a joy, and these photos will serve as a precious reminder of this milestone in her life. The combination of Christmas cheer and birthday celebrations made this session truly memorable.
