The Martinez Family- At-Home Session in Los Lunas, NM
I recently had the pleasure of meeting and working with the Martinez family to capture and create their family portraits for Christmas this year. Mark, Stephanie, Mark Jr., and Lillyana were kind enough to invite me to their home to create these beautiful photographs, and it was a truly delightful experience.
Capturing Memories at Home
I love working with families at their homes because our homes are where we spend a lot of our time and make countless memories. The places we live, the way our houses look, and how we've decorated them all tell part of our story. Capturing family portraits in such a personal setting helps document our lives for the next generation. There's something special about seeing the familiar surroundings and cherished items that make a house a home in the background of family photos.
The Charm of Los Lunas
Los Lunas is still very much a 'small' farm town, and the Martinez family embodies that charming rural lifestyle. Their home, with its warm and welcoming atmosphere, provided a perfect backdrop for the photos. One of the highlights of the session was the family's two horses, who gladly joined in on the photo session fun! Incorporating them into the portraits added a unique and personal touch that truly reflects the Martinez family's life and love for their home.
