The Strickland Family- An Albuquerque, New Mexico Maternity Portrait Session
It was truly a delightful surprise when Brittney reached out to me, announcing her pregnancy with twins and asking me to capture her maternity photos. I couldn't have been happier for her, Justin, and their older daughter Rayleigh.
This wonderful family relocated to Albuquerque a few years ago due to Justin's Air Force assignment, and I had the pleasure of meeting them about a year ago. For this special maternity session, they wanted a quintessentially 'New Mexican' location, as these photos were intended for their Christmas cards, knowing they might soon move again.
We decided on Old Town Albuquerque, a historic area said to be the birthplace of the city over 400 years ago. The adobe buildings housing charming shops and eateries, some dating back over a century, provided the perfect backdrop with their authentic 'New Mexican' style.
Despite a bit of rain blessing our session, we had a lot of fun and managed to capture some beautiful moments of this growing family, especially the glowing mom-to-be.
I want to extend my warmest wishes to the Strickland Family for their future adventures, and I hope Brittney has a safe and healthy delivery of their two newest family members.
Update 7/8/2024:
Shortly after our photo session, Brittney gave birth to healthy twin girls! It was wonderful news to hear. Not long after, Justin received orders transferring him back to the East Coast of the United States. Despite the moves and changes, all three girls are blossoming into lovely young ladies, just like their amazing momma!
