VHS Soccer

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world, with the U.S. hosting several professional teams, and most nations in the world hosting a National Team. And, I’m sure that any true soccer fan can list off all the stats of his or her favorite player and team.

Valencia High School hosts our own Boys and Girls soccer teams, and when I attended their games this Fall, I was pleasantly surprised to find that, unlike football, basketball, and cross-country, this sport has a much more relaxed atmosphere. That’s not to say that the players are any less intense, or fast, of course! These kids certainly work hard to be able to, run, pass, shoot, score, and block as well as they do!

I admittedly do not know much about soccer, at all. I never played the sport. But, I do look forward to next season when I can watch my Jaguars play again, and learn more about this sport!
