Road Trip to Denver
The last full weekend in July, Justin, the kids, and I embarked on a road trip with Justin's family for a memorable weekend in Denver. Our itinerary included a visit to Hammond's Candy Factory and the American Girl Store, but the highlight was spending a full day at Water World, a popular water amusement park in Denver.
Although I didn't capture photos at the candy factory (I left my camera in the car) or at the water park (to protect my gear), I did manage to capture some stunning shots of downtown Denver!
One of my favorite shots was a street view of downtown Denver, showcasing the vibrant atmosphere and bustling city life. Another highlight was the iconic Hard Rock Cafe at the downtown Denver mall, where we paused to enjoy the lively surroundings.
I also captured a charming moment of my beautiful niece sitting on a set of stairs leading up to the mall's second floor. It was a serene moment amid the urban hustle and bustle.
As we strolled back to the car, I snapped a candid shot of my family crossing the street, reminiscing about our explorations of downtown Denver.
One of the most striking photos I took was of an advertisement on the side of the downtown Denver mall. It created a unique and captivating urban landscape.
Update 7/7/2024:
Reflecting on this trip, Justin and I discovered that his side of the family doesn't travel as smoothly as we hoped. There were challenges with our accommodations initially, and communication wasn't as clear as it could have been, affecting the overall experience.
One aspect I hesitated to share initially was my frustration when I ended up watching both babies (one of whom was mine) all day at the water park, despite being promised that we would take turns. By the time the rest of the group returned, they were ready to leave, which left me feeling disappointed and misunderstood.
Despite these challenges, we managed to get through the weekend, and our family journey continued with a trip to Disney World, which is a story for another blog post!
