Los Lunas, NM Wedding Vendor Styled Photo Shoot
A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to have the privilege of working with some of the best wedding vendors that can be found in Los Lunas. These amazing small businesses are not only talented, creative, and hard-working, but are also kind and generous. I would like to say thank-you to each of them for their time and their talents to make this photo shoot happen!
Why You Should Choose a Local Photographer Over a National Chain
I admit it. I used to be one of those people that went to a national chain to have my family's portraits taken. In this particular case (the photo on the left), it was Portrait Innovations, and my eldest son- Christopher- was two. This was two years before I picked up my camera, learned how to use it, and started creating portraits myself. The portrait on the right, I took myself earlier this evening. Oh, and Christopher is now six.
What I Carry in My Emergency Supply Bag- Los Lunas, NM Photographer
Weddings are wonderful, happy, exciting times, but because of this, things tend to happen. Oftentimes, if a couple doesn't have a wedding planner or coordinator, I end up functioning as both the photographer, and the coordinator. That means that a lot of the small issues that arise throughout the day fall to me to take care of. Because of this, I carry an emergency supply bag that is full of all sorts of items wedding parties tend to need, but often forget the day of the wedding. Here's what's in my bag:
Kathey and Craig's Vow Renewal- Albuquerque, NM
I had the pleasure of photographing Craig and Kathey's 25th Anniversary Vow Renewal at the end of May this year. These two have an amazing love story!
Styled Shootout with Alicia Lucia Photography
I had the opportunity to participate in a styled shoot that was sponsored by Alicia Lucia Photography this year, and boy did I learn a lot!
It was my first time working with professional models, make-up artists, set designers, and so on, but it was an awesome experience.
Sam and Joseph’s Backyard Wedding- Albuquerque, New Mexico
I recently had the pleasure of working with Joseph and Sam Martinez during their beautiful backyard wedding.
George and Gayla's Backyard Wedding- Piqua, Kansas
This Friday, it will have been three weeks since Mr. and Mrs. George Purcell were married on a beautiful Spring evening. In full disclosure, George is my second cousin. The wedding and reception took place on the front lawn of George's childhood home, in Piqua, Kansas, in full view of the beautiful wheat field across the road.
Welcome to the New Site!
Welcome to the new site! I would like to say a huge 'Thank-You' to Ms. Vanessa Wilde for redesigning my logo and watermark. I absolutely love it!
UNM Alumni Chapel Wedding- Michael and Anjelica
I had the pleasure of serving as both a bridesmaid and photographer at Anjelica and Michael Shumway's recent wedding. In full disclosure, I have known Anjelica since she was a little girl. That being said, it was a blessing to not only be part of this sweet couple's wedding, but to capture it for them as well.
Eastern Hills Baptist Church Wedding- Marcus and Sarah
Marcus and Sarah’s wedding was a very small, intimate affair, and I was so blessed to be asked to capture it for them. This couple chose to have a small, meaningful ceremony and reception, and the love that filled the church and restaurant was immense.
Isleta Resort and Casino Wedding- Ryan and Diana
I was so incredibly blessed to be able to photograph the wedding of two wonderful people about six weeks ago. I’m just now sharing this because I think it’s only fair that the bride and groom get the first full look at all the photos.
Why I Love Photography
It occurred to me this last week that I never explained why I love photography- and that I should probably share that with you.
Welcome!
I am so excited to be starting my photography business. I never thought that I would end up here. Owning a business is always one of those things that a lot of people dream of when they’re young, but only a select few actually make it happen. I have to admit, I dreamed about owning my own business- for about half a second. I never thought that it was something that I’d actually want, or be able to do. But, here I am!
