Welcome!!
Here you will find all sorts of things: tips and tricks, book reviews, stories of my adventures, client features, and so much more!
Vanessa's Maternity Session- Albuquerque, NM ABQ BioPark Botanical Gardens
I love it when I get to see clients again, and again! I first met Vanesa and Davian at my Mother's Day mini sessions last year, and it has been awesome to get to know their family over this last year.
The Trujillo Family- A Roswell, New Mexico Family Portrait Session
I have to say, this is by far the funnest photo session I've done to date! Let me explain...
I've known Karin for more years than I want to admit to (she saw me in pigtails and lace socks), and she is an all around awesome person. So, when she called and asked if I could shoot their family photos, I said of course!
Joseph and Rebecca's Engagement Session- Albuquerque, New Mexico
I met Joseph and Rebecca after Joseph won an auction for a gift certificate that I donated to the Albuquerque Christian Children's Home annual fundraiser.
Sabina's Maternity Session- El Cerro de Los Lunas, Los Lunas, NM
Sabina, her best friend, their pooches and I had a wonderful maternity session. Sabina moved here from Illinois recently, mainly because she loves the area, and partly because she wanted to be closer to her best friend.
Happy New Year!
I'm always amazed at how fast time flies. Each year, it seems as if the new year sneaks up on me, no matter how closely I watch my calendar.
New Mexico Event and Wedding Planning's Bridal Showcase
In my business, I focus on serving families and weddings, and as a wedding photographer, part of advertising is participating as a vendor in bridal expos. This past August was my first bridal expo ever (confession: I never even attended one as a bride-to-be), and I learned a LOT! Following is a list of things that I learned:
Christmas at the Bradshaw House
Christmas is my favorite holiday- but, not for the reasons that you may think. I love that this is the time of year when people slow down, when work becomes less important and family takes the spotlight. I love that I get to give people gifts, making them happy- even if it is for a few brief moments. But, most importantly, I love the traditions that my family has developed over the years.
The Tellez Family- Albuquerque, New Mexico
The Tellez Family was a referral from another client of mine, and I so enjoyed meeting and working with this precious family!
The Strickland Family- An Albuquerque, New Mexico Maternity Portrait Session
It was truly a surprise when Brittney sent me a message saying that she was pregnant with twins and wanted me to shoot her maternity photos, but I couldn't have been happier for her, Justin, and their older daughter Rayleigh.
The Benavidez Family: An Adoption Story in Los Lunas, New Mexico
It was an amazing experience to be included in this event! I'm the type of person that cries when the 'I dos' are exchanged, and when heartfelt stories are shared at funerals, so y'all can imagine I was shedding a lot of happy tears at this event.
The Hendren Family- A Belen, New Mexico Portrait Session
I had the pleasure of working with the Hendren family this past August, and I had an absolute blast with them!
Anna and Tony's Engagement Portrait Session- Albuquerque, New Mexico
I had the pleasure of shooting Anna and Tony's engagement photos this past August.
I've known Anna for several years- we were Girl Scouts together!- but this was the first time that I'd had the pleasure of meeting Tony. It was clear from the start that these two sweethearts belong together.
Road Trip to Denver
The last full weekend in July, Justin, the kiddos, and I hit the road with Justin's family for a weekend in Denver. We hit Hammond's Candy Factory, and the American Girl Store, but the main attraction was a full day at Water World- a water amusement park in Denver.
Rancho Rendezvous 2015
The Rancho Rendezvous actually took place during the first weekend of August, and this year- by far- has been my favorite since this event's inception.
I Thought I Could Handle It...
I thought I could handle it, but I ended up crying. You see, my oldest son, Christopher, started Kindergarten about a week ago. He'd been in Preschool for two years already, and I thought that I would be perfectly fine dropping him off on his first day of Kindergarten. I wasn't. I'm not ashamed to admit that I was crying.
Relay for Life- Los Lunas, New Mexico
I was blessed with the opportunity to donate my time as a photographer to my local Relay for Life chapter this summer, and although the event was actually on June 26, this event has stuck with me all summer long.
Sam and Joseph’s Backyard Wedding- Albuquerque, New Mexico
I recently had the pleasure of working with Joseph and Sam Martinez during their beautiful backyard wedding.
Lillie's Third Birthday- UNM Duck Pond
I had the pleasure of shooting Miss Lillie's third birthday photos a few weeks ago. Her mom and I agreed to meet at the UNM Duck Pond for these photos, and it turned out to be a perfect place for this curious little girl.
George and Gayla's Backyard Wedding- Piqua, Kansas
This Friday, it will have been three weeks since Mr. and Mrs. George Purcell were married on a beautiful Spring evening. In full disclosure, George is my second cousin. The wedding and reception took place on the front lawn of George's childhood home, in Piqua, Kansas, in full view of the beautiful wheat field across the road.
Road Trip, Part 2
I'm glad to say that we- Mom, Grandma, Christopher, Joshua, and I- made it home on Sunday night. Our trip was definitely too short. We didn't get to see everyone we would have liked to, but hopefully we'll get to see them next time.
